Gregory H. Viergutz, CPA, CCM
Greg received his degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin. Greg has more than 30 years of audit and accounting experience, both in public accounting and private industry.
Prior to forming Marc, James and Associates, PC, Greg served as the Quality Assurance Partner for a Denver-based firm.
Greg was also an Audit Manager with the Madison, Wisconsin, and Denver, Colorado offices of Grant Thornton, a national public accounting firm, and a member of that firm's quality assurance department for five years.
In addition to auditing and accounting, Greg's experience includes strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting, and cash and treasury management. Greg has helped numerous clients successfully develop and implement many of these functions.
As well as holding the CPA designation, Greg is a Certified Cash Manager, a designation obtained by individuals employed in the Treasury Management area of larger banks.
Greg is a member of the Colorado and New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Greg Viergutz is also a peer reviewer for the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Utah Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, Greg is a member of the Peer Review Committee, Report Acceptance Board for the New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Greg is currently the Chairperson of the Supervisory Committee of Colorado Credit Union, a $100 million Littleton-based credit union and the Treasurer of the Golden Eagles Baseball Diamond Club.
Greg is also currently the Treasurer and Trustee for the Highlands Ranch Park and Recreation Foundation.
In addition, Greg is also the former Treasurer of the Cherry Creek School District Legislative Network Committee, Past-President and Treasurer of the Dry Creek Elementary PTCO.
